I'm sorry I missed the homework task, It's not that I wished to be lax, But an alien appeared, And my schedule was cleared, As we played on a trampoline, just ask! We bounced higher and higher with glee, 'Til we landed beside a PB, Which had fallen from space, In a cosmic embrace, We shared it while chatting with glee. Lost in conversation so deep, The time simply seemed to just creep, And before I could know, The deadline did go, And my homework assignment did sleep. Please forgive this extraterrestrial fling, I'll turn in my work with a zing, But until then, you see, My head's in the galaxy, With an alien, a PB sandwich, and bouncing on a trampoline!
